I am very proud to be part of this once in a lifetime concert with 23 singers, musician,s and dancers in celebration of Joanie Madden and Cherish the Ladies’ 40 years of creating and presenting the best of Irish traditional music, dance, and culture! Led by the force of nature herself, Joanie Madden, this milestone concert reunites an extraordinary cast of musicians, singers, and dancers who have toured and shared the stage with the group throughout its incredible four-decade journey. I was there for the first seven years, the beginning of it all!
This concert will be a spectacular event! It features the current powerhouse lineup of Joanie Madden, Mary Coogan, Mirella Murray, Nollaig Casey, Kathleen Boyle, and Kate Purcell, joined by special guest vocalists including myself, Heidi Talbot, Hannah Rarity, and Michelle Burke. The celebration continues with the outstanding musicianship of Liz and Yvonne Kane, Mary Rafferty, Grainne Murphy, Maureen Doherty Macken, Jimmy Higgins – and world champion step dancers James Greenan, David Geaney, Gavin Shevlin, Cathal Keaney, Nathan Pilatzke, and Donny and Eileen Golden!
A night of soulful ballads, rousing jigs and reels, and exhilarating dance to honour Cherish the Ladies’ extraordinary journey, lifelong friendships, and the enduring heart of the Irish tradition!
